My name is Justin Allen, and I created Anxious Ambition because I needed something like it in my own life.
I’ve dealt with anxiety, depression, ADHD and OCD for as long as I can remember. At the same time, I’ve always wanted more for myself. I’ve had big ideas, started businesses, chased goals, lost momentum and started over more times than I can count.
That’s what Anxious Ambition is about.
It’s for people who want more out of life but sometimes struggle to get out of their own heads. People with big dreams and loud minds. People who know they’re capable of more, even when anxiety, depression, fear or whatever else they’re carrying makes moving forward feel almost impossible.
My vision is to build something bigger than a hat brand.
The hats are meant to start conversations. Someone notices the name, asks what Anxious Ambition means and suddenly there’s an opportunity to talk honestly about mental health, ambition and the things so many people carry quietly.
Through the hats, content, honest conversations and community, Anxious Ambition exists to make mental health easier to talk about and remind people that struggling doesn’t make them broken. Stopping doesn’t mean they’re finished.
I’m not a therapist or a guru. I’m simply someone still learning, still growing and still trying to build a good life while navigating my own mental health.
You don’t need to have everything figured out before taking the next step. If you lose momentum, you can always start again.
You’re not alone. We’re not done.
